In a show of solidarity with community development efforts, Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party in Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency of the Western region, stepped forward on Sunday, March 10, 2024, to support the Church of Pentecost, Prestea Central.
Recognizing the pressing need for better infrastructure, she donated 50 bags of cement to aid in the construction of a concrete road stretching from Elder Boafo’s junction through Experimental JHS to the Church premises.
The significance of this road project extends beyond the boundaries of the Pentecost church, as it promises to serve the wider community of Prestea and alleviate longstanding transportation challenges. Despite previous attempts by the Urban Council and stakeholders to address these issues, lasting solutions have remained elusive.
Acknowledging the commendable initiative of the Church of Pentecost, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, also the President of Wassa Hemaa Foundation, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling community challenges. Her donation, facilitated by NPP Executives, underscores her commitment to proactive engagement in matters of local development.
Pastor Aaron Tetteh Nartey, representing the Church, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi for her unwavering support.
He invoked blessings upon her endeavours, recognizing her dedication to fostering positive change within the community.
With the collective efforts of individuals like Barbara Oteng-Gyasi and organizations such as the Church of Pentecost, the vision of a more accessible and interconnected Prestea town edges closer to reality.
