The body of a 11-year old boy has been discovered in a small pond with parts of the body removed at Wassa Akropong in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region.
The deceased, identified as Dominic Daketi, was reportedly found dead under disturbing circumstances. Initial reports indicate that parts of his body, including his testicles, had been removed.
The discovery has triggered fear and concern among residents of the community as police begin investigations into the incident.
The body has been deposited at the Wasa Akropong Government Hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police say investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death and to identify those responsible.
