A tragic incident has occurred at Takinta in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region, where a man, identified as Nya Meah, who reportedly tried to harm himself ended up taking the life of his neighbour Cosmos Ndah, who went to stop him.
Eyewitnesses report established that the neighbour entered the man’s house after hearing that he intended to take his own life. His aim was to calm him down and prevent the act.
However, during the confrontation, the situation turned violent, leading to the fatal attack on the neighbour with cutlass.
Police have since taken over the case, pending investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
