A 29-year-old woman has poured hot water on her three-year-old daughter for reasons best known to her at Oforikrom, a small town near Samreboi in the Wassa Amenfi Municipality in the Western Region.
According to the reports received by myrepubliconline.com from residents, the woman had complained about GH¢8 cedis sandals she bought for her child to wear but the little girl while playing with her colleagues misplaced the supposed sandals.
Further reports also established that the woman also alleged that some young men have inserted their fingers into the private part of the little girl hence asking her daughter to sit in a basin with hot water in it.
The case was reported to the Samreboi police station and she was granted bail that same day whiles the investigation continues.
SAMARTEX hospital has referred the victim to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi severity of the young girl’s issue.
But, reports confirmed that the victim is still in the village because of financial difficulties to transport her to Komfo Anokye.
It is believed that the small girl can not stand nor walk because of her condition.
