The Black Princesses of Ghana have made it to the final of the ongoing 2023 WAFU Zone B Women’s U-20 Cup of Nations here in Ghana.
The Princesses maintained their hundred percent record, by beating the Burkinabe’s 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Burkina Faso scored the first goal just five minutes into the first half, with a superb goal from Ragnangnewende Djiguemde.
Captain of Ghana, Stella Nyamekye got the equalizer 8 minutes after Burkina had taking the lead, scoring from a free-kick.
The Princesses got the second goal to put them ahead just on the 29th minute with a powerful long range shot from Success Ameyaa.
Second half started with Yussif Basigi’s side pushing to get the third but missed the chances.
However, with 14 minutes to the end of the game, Burkina had the opportunity to come back on level after they were awarded a penalty but captain of Burkina, Alimata Belem’s effort wss saved by Ghana’s goalkeeper, Amenyeku.
Minutes after Burkina missed from the spot, Faiza Seidu made it three for Ghana to end the match 3-1 in favor of the host nation.
