Walewale: NPP suspends two constituency executives and party member

The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Fuseini Nurudeen, has suspended two party executives and a member in the Walewale constituency over misconduct and violation of the party’s constitution.

The North East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Fuseini Nurudeen, has suspended two party executives and a member in the Walewale constituency over misconduct and violation of the party’s constitution.

In a letter signed by the regional chairman, Fuseini Nurudeen cited violation of duties as a member, breach of the duty to uphold party policies publicly, bringing the party into disrepute or public ridicule and creation of discord or factionalism within the party, actions detrimental to the party’s reputation and integrity as reasons that lead to their suspension.

He further indicated that, the party executive and member were suspended in accordance with article 4 clause 7(1a), (e), (f) and (g) of the party’s constitution.

The suspended executives and member include: Second Vice Chairman, Alhassan Suleman, Financial Secretary, Imoro Tonzua Mahamudu and a member, Megida Saaka Samusi,

“This suspension will remain in effect pending further investigation and deliberation by the Disciplinary Committee of the party. You will be notified of any changes to your status as soon as they are available”, Fuseini Nurudeen stated.

However, the suspended members are to refrain from participating in any political activities of the party until a finality on their status is determined as the Disciplinary Committee of the party will conduct further investigation and deliberate on the suspension of the members until which the suspension remains in force.

“You are directed to hand over all the party property to the constituency chairman,”Fuseini Nurudeen added.
