The Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Children’s Ministry in the Wassa Japah visited the children’s ward of the Municipal Government Hospital in the Wassa Akropong.
The visit, which took place on Sunday, February 11, 2024, was part of the activities culminating the 2024 National Children’s Ministry Week.
The theme for this year’s Children’s Ministry Week was: Children’s Helping Children’s
According to Rev. Father Felix Bempah, who led the children’s ministry, the rationale for the visit was to show the children how to demonstrate God’s love to others.
The team also donated an undisclosed amount of money to patients who were unable to pay all of their hospital bills.
The items comprised bottles of Madar Zone, packs of toilet rolls, gallons of liquid soap, a gallon of floor cleaner, packs of soft drinks, 11 packs of bottled water, packs of baby diapers, and packs of powdered detergent (Omo), etc.
The items were received on behalf of the patients by the nurse in charge, Madam Rose Esther Harry. She expressed profound appreciation to the Church for the kind and timely gesture.
