Members of Parliament have began debating on the approval of Justice Gertrude Torkornoo as Chief Justice.
After a successful vetting, Parliament as expected is to debate and reach a consensus to approve the nominee.
Although minority has indicated it will not withhold the approval of the nominee, the minority Chief Whip, Kwame Governs Agbozda is of the view that some statements made by the nominee concerning the birth certificate as a prove of citizenship should not stand.
