The National Chairman of the opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has asserted that the ruling NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo and his vice president, Dr. Bawumia, are ripping off the nation’s coffers to enrich themselves without taking into consideration the plights of the suffering masses.
Addressing a crowd after a unity walk to energise party faithfuls in the Techiman South constituency, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said the country is currently in a ditch as the majority of Ghanaians are unable to afford three square meals, but it is evident that government officials and their appointees are living very lavishly.
According to him, this should be a serious concern for Ghanaians; hence, he is charging NDC supporters to work extra hard to come back to power after the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“We can not allow the NPP to continue milking the country therefore we have to work harder to win power in 2024”.
The Bono East regional Chairman for the NDC, Mr. Unas Owusu also in his address urged all party members to support the upcoming District Assembly elections because it also forms part of the NDC’s agenda to come back to power in 2024 and win all 11 Parliamentary seats in the Bono East Region.
Parliamentary candidate, Dr. Christopher Baasongti Beyere was excited about the Unity and believes he will win them back the seat for the NDC.
Finally, Hon. Dr. Alex Kofi Kyeremeh a former MP for Techiman North Constituency and a Deputy Minister for Education used the opportunity to thank the Bono East NDC for supporting him to be appointed as the party’s national treasurer and pleaded with members to close their ranks to work towards winning 2024
