The District Chief Executive for the Kwahu East District, Hon. Isaac Agyapong has revealed that, a three storey boys dormitory has been constructed at the Nkwatia Senior High School in the Kwahu East.
According to the DCE who spoke in an interview with Kwame Koranteng on Anɔpa Dawuro on Republic Fm, since he took office and perhaps, education has been one of the major priorities of President Akufo-Addo, the district has been able to embark on major transformational projects of education in the district.
“Aside security, one of the things we tackling is education, and you know education is a major priority for President Akuffo Addo and since we took office, there was a deficit in educational infrastructure, and so we are working assiduously to change the face of education in kwahu South. We are not down yet, a lot of projects will be executed“ he told Kwame Koranteng.
He noted, the district had a lot of educational infrastructure deficit and that, a lot has been done in most towns under the Kwahu South, including Nkwatia SDA, Oboyang, Tafo RC which used to be an aged building.
He revealed a lot of work has been done for secondary schools including a three storey boys dormitory at Nkwatia secondary school through GETFund and District initiatives to support the high schools.
The DCE also noted that, a 12 – unit classroom block has been constructed for the St. Peter’s High school.
