Western North: Boy, 16, drowns in river at Sefwi Besibema

A 16 year old boy named Eric Osei Bonsu popularly known as Naasei has lost his life after he got drowned in river Pro at Sefwi Besibema, a community in Sefwi Akontombra District of the Western North Region.

A 16 year old boy named Eric Osei Bonsu popularly known as Naasei has lost his life after he got drowned in river Pro at Sefwi Besibema, a community in Sefwi Akontombra District of the Western North Region.

Reports indicate that the deceased whoโ€™s primary six pupil went to swim in the river with his friend but unfortunately sunk deep and got drowned.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Government Hospital mortuary for preservation.

Father of the deceased, Mr Eric Arthur explained that he almost got drown when he tried to get his son out of the river.

The Sefwi Akontombra district police command have started investigations.
