The Western Regional commander SNCO Isaac Bedu last week paid a visit to the Jomoro Municipality.
He visited the Jaway Wharf River Border Post which is being manned by the Customs Division along with other security agencies such as the Immigration Service, Military, and NIB.
This river border post shares boundaries with Cote D’Ivoire. Travellers mainly cross due to family ties and business in the Municipality.
SNCO Badu reiterated the importance of the existing collaboration between the NACOC and other security agencies operating in the area.
He also hinted that the Command is working out to post some NACOC officers to complement the already good work being done at the border post.
NACOC is working to widen its operational coverage in the other areas of the Western region:
In an another event, the Commander visited the Jomoro Municipal Assembly to establish a rapport with the authorities of the Assembly.
The call was also used to appeal for office space and accommodation for the officers who will be posted to the Jaway Wharf River Border Post.
Mrs. Joyce Akosuah Angmorteh Miezah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, assured the team of office space once the available ones are renovated.
