Renowned global Afrobeats star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid has tendered an unreserved apology to his fans for not performing at his Live concert in Ghana on December 10.

Big Wiz was billed to perform at the Accra Sports Stadium but did not show up leaving his fans agitated with some calling for ticket refunds and an apology.

The platinum-selling singer extended his heartfelt apology to his fans on Twitter on Sunday evening, saying that Ghana is a country he holds so dear to his heart.

“Ghana is a country I hold so dear to my heart, first and foremost I wanna apologise to all my fans!
Y’all know I would never do anything, without serious reasoning behind it.

“My brand is something I don’t joke with! I sincerely apologise to everyone who made the effort to come out to me last night. I was charged up, and looking forward to doing this show. However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honouring my fans and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right to do and I had to,” he tweeted.

Love you Ghana 🇬🇭💙 pic.twitter.com/UfXWIt70hA
