The eye-catching event held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on November 18, 2021 was a sight to behold as guests and dignitaries present displayed rich Ghanaian fabrics to set the scene for the launch of the Women Of Wonder [WOW] Magazine’s first edition.

Launching the Women Of Wonder [WOW] magazine, a representative from the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation launched the new fashion and lifestyle magazine on behalf of Madam Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief Executive Officer of WOW Magazine, Mrs. Gloria Asare said the reason for the birth of her new fashion and lifestyle magazine is because of the rate at which indecent dressing has infiltrated into the moral strand of the Ghanaian society especially among students.

She noted that the menace is gradually becoming the norm and replacing what society was known for.

To her, something certainly needs to be done to prevent the dire consequences that the phenomenon could have on the future generation and that focus is reason for the launch of WOW Magazine.

“We promote fashion as a form of expression and a way of addressing social issues and inspiring change. We do not claim to have all the answers but we strongly believe we have taken a bold step which will go a long way to correcting the negative fashion trend that seeks to corrupt our youth. We believe the vision was inspired by God and we are unapologetic about it.” Mrs Gloria Asare noted

She added that, “One unique feature about the WOW Magazine is the kind of personalities that would be featured and showcased on its cover page. We have allowed our kids to make role models of so called celebrities for all this while and the result has been catastrophic. How about selecting real role models that we would be proud if our daughters emulated them? The idea is not to make celebrities out of the remarkable women we feature”
