A church building believed to the Word Action Church at Old Bortianor in the Greater Accra Region has collapsed with some worshipers trapped.
The building which is said to be a storey building collapsed on worshipers on Tuesday May 9, 2023 during church service.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) including other security agencies are on site to rescue the people under the debris.
The number of worshipers in the building before its collapse is not known but so far some worshipers have been rescued and are receiving treatment at the surrounding health centers.
