Ghanaian youth have been advised to work hard, devoid of active partisan politics and politics of insult that retard the progress of a country.
In an interview with ASTA FM, Nana Owusu Gyare II, Akwamuhene of Techiman Traditional Council and Acting President of Techiman Traditional Council stated that there are many job opportunities in the country and that youths should take advantage of these opportunities and work hard to achieve their life goals rather than being actively involved in partisan politics, which is affecting the country’s growth and development.
He bemoaned how the youth have actively developed an interest in partisan politics and politics of insult, which includes conflicts and unnecessary disputes, thereby putting development on hold, emphasising that Nananom of Techiman fought so hard to secure the regional capital to Techiman with the common goal of development and job creation, thus the need for the youths to support Nananom in making Techiman one of the largest business hubs rather than fighting for parochia.
Nana Owusu Gyare II urged leaders of the country’s major political parties to show maximum support to one another and to prioritise the development of Techiman and Ghana above everything else.
He stated that Nananom is not interested in politics and only supports the political party that wins elections to ensure development; thus, the youngsters must have the same vision as Nananom to enable them to realise the progress of Techiman and Ghana as a country.
