The Member of Parliament for the New Juaben South Constituency- Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi in collaboration with Nicholas K Boateng and Stella Serebour through the Adwoa Akyamaah Foundation have donated dozens of sanitary pads to female students of the Adweso Mile 50 Primary and Junior High School.

This kind gesture is to celebrate with the female students and all other women in the Constituency as the entire world celebrates World Menstrual Hygiene Day.

The aim of this day is to change the social stigma and taboos associated with menstruation.

The team which did the donation on behalf of the Member of Parliament also took time to educate the school children on the usage of the sanitary pads and how to stay hygienic and confident during such times.

The headmaster and other teachers also took the pupils through some nuggets on the subject of sex.

In attendance to this educative session were Mr Nicholas K. Boateng, Mr. John Adade, Mr Louis Appiah, Mrs Regina Brempong, Mr Harry Affum Larbi, Mrs Adelaide Okai and Mrs Esther Nimako Boateng.

The students together with their teachers expressed their profound gratitude to the Honourable Member of Parliament and the team for the wonderful gesture done them.
