World Vision Ghana with the support of Hans-Jurgen family and Andrea Inden, has handed over a fully furnished health center to the Maudoso community in the Upper Denkyira West District in the Central Region.
The facility which has three self contained accommodation for health workers was commissioned by the National Director, Mr. Dickens Thunde and handed over to the Director-General of Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah-Aboagye.
The state-of-the-art health center is to support the Government’s Universal Health Coverage agenda and to help reduce high maternal and child mortality rates in the community.
The health centre commissioned and handed over costs GHȼ 472,351.77.
The cost covers the construction of the Health Centre, the accommodation block and the procurement of medical and non-medical equipment to fully furnish the facility.
National Director of World Vision Ghana, Dickens Thunde, says the gesture demonstrates World Vision’s bias for the well-being of children and the fully equipped Health Centre is an ample demonstration of World Vision Ghana and partners’ collective commitment to improve health outcomes for all Ghanaians.
