Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed–Mubarak expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting its potential to promote youth employment and national development.

According to him, this is in line with the Government’s 24-hour economy initiative aims to expand economic activity beyond traditional business hours, aiming to enhance productivity, boost competitiveness, and create more job opportunities.

The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, thanked the Minister for the Interior for implementing this module and appealed to him to develop other similar modules with the various agencies under the Ministry.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Malik Basintale, and the Ag. Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, also emphasised the importance of collaboration in achieving their respective mandates.

The recruitment of Fire Service Assistants will strengthen the GNFS’s operations and contribute to the nation’s development. This initiative demonstrates Government’s commitment to empowering the youth and enhancing the operations of the Ghana National Fire Service, especially in light of the recent rampant fire outbreaks across the country.

The GNFS and YEA look forward to working together to implement this partnership and achieve its objectives.
