The Eastern Regional NDC Communication team member, Innocent Kofi Adanyah has said, the controversial E-levy bill will have no positive impact on the Ghanaian economy.
According to the Communications team member of the NDC, if a single factory is being built and will be able to employ at least 200 employees, the positive effects and benefits will be more substantial to the country.
He also noted that if government will be able to construct ten heavy (10) factories across the country, the E-levy will be nowhere close to the Planting For food and Jobs policy.
“If we’re able to build one factory at nkawkaw, let it employ 200 people and, across the country, let them build 10 heavy factories for their planting for food and Jobs policy, the money we can derive from this will be much more higher than the E-levy. Planting for food and Jobs alone can provide for the country, you don’t need E-levy to create jobs” he told Republic FM
