Youth in viral social media video apologize for possession of Police handcuff without authority

Youths seen in a viral video in which one of them was handcuffed, where another claimed the person had escaped with the handcuffs, and threatened to cut them off, have apologized to President Mahama, the Inspector General of Police, the entire police service, and the people of Ghana over their gross disrespect for authority.

According to the individual who led the apology, the handcuffs belonged to an elder brother, who had left it behind and that they took the handcuffs and deliberately cuffed one of them as part of a staged act to create content for social media.

A video of the group surfaced on the internet in the early hours of Saturday, where they were seen in a show of bravado, bragging and threatening to deal with police while one of them was seen in a handcuff.
