Commenting on government’s support for the poultry industry, Dr. Norgbey said “we know the government is making several efforts to support the sector, the planting for foods initiative worked for us in the previous year except that this year we couldn’t get maize and soya in the system which affected our business”
“The Buffer Stock should take its place to store more of the foods that is coming out of the project. They have warehouses across the country which can be used to store enough maize and soya which are most needed in the poultry industry so that we can have a sustainable supply of these raw materials to improve the sector to satisfy the nutritional requirement, particularly the protein requirement of the country”.- she added
