Zoomlion distributes waste bins to vaccination centres in Bono East Region

Zoomlion Medical Waste in collaboration with the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health, School of Hygiene and School of Public Health, Korle-Bu is providing support for proper management of the Covid-19 vaccination waste.

Zoomlion Medical Waste in collaboration with the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health, School of Hygiene and School of Public Health, Korle-Bu is providing support for proper management of the Covid-19 vaccination waste.

This will involve the provision of waste bins, colour coded bin liners, routine collection of waste, transportation with specialised trucks, treatment and disposal of the potentially infectious vaccination waste.

The aim of the exercise is to provide medical waste management services for all vaccination centres across the country during the Covid-19 vaccination exercise (Astra Zeneca 2nd dose).

Some vaccination centers visited include;Holy Family Hospital, Bono East Coordinating Council, Techiman vaccination center, Municipal Health Directorate, Techiman, Tuobodom Health Centre, Kintampo South District Hospital, Jama

George Manu the Bono East Regional Manager, Zoomlion said, to curb COVID-19 from the country vaccination is needed and therefore waste bins will be needed to collect those wastes from the exercise.
