Zoomlion Ghana Limited has recognized the honesty of Mr. Salifu Ibrahim, a Youth Employment Agency (YEA) worker, by rewarding him with an undisclosed sum of money in Ghana cedis and U.S. dollars, along with a brand-new motorbike.
Mr. Ibrahim gained national admiration after returning GH₵20,000 he found while on duty. Speaking about his decision, he said, “It is against my religion to take something which is not mine.”
His remarkable act of integrity has inspired many and earned him accolades from across the country.
The company flew Mr. Ibrahim to Accra on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, for a formal recognition ceremony.
During the event, Zoomlion’s management praised him for his commitment to honesty and godliness, which align with the company’s core values of integrity and people-focus.
The owner of the lost money, who chose to remain anonymous, expressed deep gratitude for Mr. Ibrahim’s honesty, calling it a rare and commendable act in today’s world.
Zoomlion Ghana has reaffirmed its dedication to promoting ethical behaviour among employees and encouraged Ghanaians to embrace similar values.
