The World Cup is a dream tournament for every footballer in the world, and this year’s edition in Qatar will be no different.
The World Cup has seen many young talents who have gone ahead to be great footballers such as Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o who was 17 years and 98 days in the 1998 World Cup, Brazil’s Pele who was also 17 years and 234 days in the 1958 World Cup.
This tournament in Qatar will include a number of rising young players including Youssoufa Moukoko (18) who was named in the final 26-man squad of Germany by coach Hansi Flick.
Barcelona’s young midfielder Pablo Martín Páez Gavira also known as Gavi is also 18 years and will be making an appearance in Qatar.
He was named the 2022 golden boy winner ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and is ready to leave a mark in this year’s World Cup.
Ghana’s Fatawu Issahaku (18) is another young talent to look at in this year’s tournament.
Issahaku has represented Ghana at the under-17 and under-20 teams with his performance earning him a senior national call-up in 2021 by coach C.K Akonnor.
Jude Bellingham (19) of England, Antonio Silva ( 19), of Portugal and Bilel El Khanouss (18) of Morocco are all young prospects to look at in this World Cup.
The 2022 World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
