The Minority in Parliament says the 24-Hour Economy is not producing the jobs it promised, Minority says.
Former Finance Minister Dr. Amin Adams noted that many young people who expected shift-based work are still unemployed.
He added that farmers and traders are also struggling due to weak demand.
Dr. Adams questioned the government’s budget commitment, pointing out discrepancies between the announced GH¢110 million and the GH¢90 million shown in the appendix.
He also criticized the program’s estimated $4 billion cost, calling the government’s contribution “tokenism.”
He warned that without stronger planning and action, the 24-Hour Economy may fail to create the jobs Ghana’s youth urgently need.
