The Bekwai Circuit Court on 25th October 2022 convicted and fined four National Democratic Congress members an amount of GH¢6000.00 each for disturbances and destruction of properties during the Adansi North Constituency election.
The four accused persons in default shall serve three months imprisonment.
Police on 23rd October 2022 arrested suspects Kingsford Anku, Adjei Evans, Francis Amoah and Akwesi Acquah in connection with disturbances during the Adansi North NDC Constituency election held at Fomena.
According to the Police, as the ballots were being counted, the suspects destroyed chairs and other properties belonging to the Nana Abu Bonsra Primary School where the election was held.
