430 officers graduate from Police Academy

Four hundred and thirty (430) officers were commissioned into the Senior Officer Corps of the Ghana Police Service, on Wednesday, 30th October 2024, by the Vice President of the Republic H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Four hundred and thirty (430) officers were commissioned into the Senior Officer Corps of the Ghana Police Service, on Wednesday, 30th October 2024, by the Vice President of the Republic H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Vice President underscored the need for all Ghanaians to support the Police to maintain law and order before, during and after the Elections 2024.

“It is the duty of all of us to ensure that we have credible, peaceful, free and fair elections come December 7, 2024,” Dr Bawumia stated.

He, therefore called on all Ghanaians, including political actors to support the Police and the Election Security Taskforce to discharge their duties effectively.

The Police Academy Cadet Course 53, comprising three hundred and five (305) males and one hundred and twenty-five (125) females, represents the highest intake of cadet officers since the establishment of the Ghana Police Academy. It surpasses the previous record set by Cadet Course 52, which enrolled three hundred and forty-four (344) cadet officers.

Cadet Officer Achiburi Issah was adjudged the Overall Best Cadet Officer.
