The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has commended the Anti Armed Robbery Taskforce for their work to ensure that communities are safe.

The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has commended the Anti Armed Robbery Taskforce for their work to ensure that communities are safe.

He also encouraged them to remain professional and confident in discharging duties.

He made the statement when he met officers of the task force for a briefing on 3rd August 2021.

The Taskforce was set up in June 2021 as part of measures to curb armed robberies.

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Acting Inspector-General of Police assumed the headship of the Ghana Police Service from 1st August, 2021.
