Member of Parliament for Asutifi South in the Ahafo Region, Hon. Collins Dauda has denied being involved in a violent incident in one of the limited voter registration centres in the constituency.
In a press statement, the MP, in response to recent false allegations circulating in the media, vehemently denied any involvement in or connection to the reported violent incidents during the voter registration exercise.
Hon. Dauda claims that the unfounded allegations made by certain members of the NPP party in the Asutifi South constituency and the Ahafo Region are part of a deliberate smear campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation and credibility.
The legislator, in response to these malicious acts, also stated that he is taking decisive steps to hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
He noted that he is actively engaging in legal measures to address the dissemination of false information and defamation of character.
He also urged the Ghana Police Service in the Ahafo Region to swiftly investigate and apprehend those responsible for spreading fake news about him.
Hon. Collins Dauda reaffirms his unwavering commitment to peace, democracy, and the rule of law in Ghana.
He emphasizes that such deliberate attempts to undermine the democratic process and sow discord will not be tolerated.
