The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a recent burglary and theft case at Nyayano, a community near Kasoa in the Central Region.
The suspect, identified as Ibrahim Abubakar Sadiq, was apprehended on June 16, 2025, at his hideout in Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra.
His arrest followed a detailed review of CCTV footage that captured him during the commission of the crime — wearing the same outfit at the time of his arrest.
Preliminary investigations by the Police revealed that Sadiq made away with an iPhone 14 Pro Max valued at GH¢9,000, a Barclays ATM card, a UK driver’s license, and an amount of £2,000 in cash.
Upon interrogation, the suspect reportedly admitted to the offence. He told investigators that he sold the stolen iPhone 14 Pro Max to an unknown individual in Agbogbloshie for GH¢2,000.
The suspect is currently in Police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities say he will be arraigned before court in due course.
