Celebrate the holidays safely and responsibly – Akufo-Addo to Ghanaians

President Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to observe the holidays responsibly and safely.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to observe the holidays responsibly and safely.

He said this during a video message he sent out on Monday, wishing all Ghanaians a happy Christmas.

The president has reflected on the profound words of the Prophet Isaiah, “For unto us, a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Speaking to the nation, the President emphasized the significance of these words for Christians and how they bring “glad tidings of great joy to our hearts.”

He encouraged all Ghanaians to celebrate the holidays safely and responsibly and to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate.

“Let each one of us contribute to helping feed those who are hungry and offering comfort to those in need. Let us take the time to gather, love, listen, and learn from each other, and to remember that with the help of God, we can overcome any challenge and achieve any future of which we can dream.”
