Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Titus Glover has asserted that, chieftaincy is about friendship, collaboration and development and not about holding grudges and waging wars.
He made this statement while addressing the royal durbar in honor of the Asantehene, Otomfuo Osei Tutu II during his visit to the Ga State hosted by King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse on Sunday, June 9,2024.
“Chieftaincy about friendship collaboration and how we can develop our people. Whether in the area of education, industry, trade and commits, physical infrastructure development and digitalisation”, the regional minister said.
The Tema East legislator emphasized that the love and respect exhibited by the Asantehene, Otomfuo Osei Tutu II and the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, epitomizes chieftaincy as a force for unity, not conflict and how nice chieftaincy can be attributing it to Ga Mantse’s visit to the Manhyia palace to support the Asantehene.
“Recently his Royal Majesty Otumfuor registered his 25th anniversary we witnessed in his reign an epitome of peace, a symbol of unity, and also qualitative leadership that he has demonstrated during his reign as the king of Asanteman.”
Mr.Glover further expressed his excitement on seeing Asantehene and his entourage and requested to partner with the Asantehene to boost the relationship between the Ga state and Asanteman.
“We believe that our friends from Asanteman equally have culture and tradition they are equally proud of. On this not on behalf of Nii Ga and the entire Ga state, the regional coordinating council, we are so proud to receive Otumfuor and his delegation for this visit, we want to partner with him to tap on his rich experience to boost the friendship between the Ga state and Asanteman.”
