Entrepreneurship becoming economic backbone of our country – Dr. Ofori Sarpong

Chief Executive Officer Special Groups of Companies Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong has said the rate at which entrepreneurship is changing the way one lives and works is gradually becoming the backbone of the country.

As a special guest at the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana annual conference meeting held at Kumasi, Dr. Ofori Sarpong noted that the emergence of young entrepreneurs in the country, who come up with new ideas and then make it happen with the help of investment and other necessary helps are changing the narrative of the country’s economy.

“The private sector businesses in the country has actually stabilized our inflation rate and I’m urging individuals to straighten their businesses in the country since entrepreneurship is the backbone of our country.”

Present at the conference was the Asantehenene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll, who added his voice saying, “we should embrace Technology for Business Sustainability.”

He advised members of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana to be vigilant noting that the COVID 19 pandemic has help to adopt technological way of doing business.

The 2021 Accountants Conference, under the theme “Business continuity and sustainable development, the role of technology”, is scheduled for two days.
