Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has insisted that in spite of his side’s win against Mali in the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifying match last week, the team will have to show a strong attitude in their next game against Central Africa Republic on Monday.
Ghana picked all points against Mali in a crucial round three encounter in Bamako, to move to third in Group I.
However, ahead of their game against Central Africa Republic, Otto Addo, admitted that though they expect a difficult, game, his side cannot be complacent.
“One thing is for sure, I think it is going to be very difficult. For everyone who thinks we can play them like that, I don’t will happen. They’re doing well, especially in their offensive transitions, always dangerous. They played 1-1 against Mali so we know what we have to expect.
“Despite the win [against Mali], we can’t relax, we have to continue,” he said.
With the advantage of playing at home, Ghana will fancy their chances of beating Central Africa Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to move to nine points.
