The Ghana Football Association (GFA), has established a 5-member search committee to select a new coach for the Black Stars.
This comes four days after the Black Stars were eliminated from the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
Ghana’s abysmal performance saw them finish third in Group B with just two points, losing to Cape Verde and picking up a point each against Egypt and Mozambique, causing the GFA to sack head coach Chris Hughton.
As a result, the newly formed committee, chaired by Vice President of the GFA Mark Addo, have been tasked to recommend a new coach in three weeks for approval.
Other committee members are Lawyer Ace Ankomah, sports psychologist Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Black Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko legend, Opoku Nti and Chief Director at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and William Caesar Katey.
