The Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN), a non-governmental organization, made up of well-trained indigenous Kwahu working-class professionals, have organized a one-day censorship education for girl-students in second-cycle schools in Kwahu.
The censorship education forms part of the celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day, under the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion”, celebrated on March 8.
Addressing the students, some of the executive members of the KPN project took the students through a career guidance session and admonished the students to seek assistance from professionals before choosing a career profession in order not to become stagnant and a burden to their societies.
“Today, we’re doing this with you to make the best career decisions as you begin to enter the corporate world.
Ms. Diana Konadu, the Vice President of Kwahu Professionals Network, who spoke in an interview with Republic Press’s Andy Frimpong Manso said, the KPN Inspires, which was introduced in 2022 forms part of the celebration the International Women’s Day.
“This program is KPN inspires, we hold this initiative in Senior High Schools in Kwahu with the motive of grooming the students, censoring them in order for them to become useful to themselves and the society. We partner with Professionals such as engineers, lawyers, doctors and so forth to come together and boost their confidence while they prepare to enter the world. This initiative forms part of the International Women’s Day 2024 Celebration and as a Professional body, we decided to organise this program to recognize the potentials of women”, she said.
Ms. Konadu indicated that the KPN also mentor and pairs some of the students with the members of the network.
