French League 1 side, AS Monaco have agreed a deal with English Championship club, Southampton to sign defender Mohammed Salisu according to reports.

Monaco have been monitoring the Ghanaian defender and had several bids rejected by Southampton for the 24-year-old.

However, reports from the Athletic indicates that both clubs have agreed a deal.

Southampton signed the Ghanaian Centre back on a four-year deal from Real Valladolid in Spain for £10.9m in 2020.

His contract expires the next year, and an extension is improbable given Southampton’s relegation to the Championship.

He made 28 appearances in all competitions and registered an assist in the past season.
