The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has communicated confirmed new Mpox cases of 37 , totalling general infections  across the country to 409 as of Thursday, August, 14, 2025. Two patients are on admission.

The new update follows the August 11 report, where 26 new cases were recorded, raising the total number then to 372. Earlier on August 7, the GHS had confirmed 346 infections.

The national death toll remains at one.

Health officials say Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person.

Symptoms include fever, skin rashes, and swollen lymph nodes.

The GHS is advising the public to avoid close contact with people showing symptoms, wash hands regularly with soap and water, avoid frequent touching of the eyes, nose, and mouth, and wear a mask when caring for a sick person.

The service says it is monitoring the outbreak, tracing contacts, and intensifying public education with support from regional health directorates.
