Nsoatreman FC have secured a spot in the final of the 2023/2024 MTN FA Cup after they defeated Legon Cities 2-1 at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on Saturday.
It was a tough afternoon for both sides, as they had to endure playing on the slippery pitch due to the rains.
But Nsotreman showed more resilience, taking the lead in the 35th minute through Apetorgbor Foster, whose effort slipped through the hands of Legon Cities goalkeeper Joseph Kumah.
Three minutes after, Eric Osei Bonsu added the second to give the Nsoatre club the advantage going into the end of the first half.
After the break, Legon Cities looked a more improved side, as they pushed for a comeback.
The Royals however managed to pull one back on the 58th minute with William Kweku Adjei heading in a cross from the right side.
Nsoatreman had to protect their lead for the rest of the game, to send them into the final for the first time ever in the history of the club.
Maxwell Konadu’s men will meanwhile, either face defending champions Dreams FC, or Bofoakwa Tano in the final.
