Residents of Bimbilla in the Northern Region were thrown into a state of shock on Monday, March 15, when a woman believed to be in her mid-30 took her life over accumulated debt she was unable to settle.
The lifeless body of Baamunu was found hanging on a mango tree by her son after he returned home from school.
The son who chanced upon his mother’s lifeless body revealed that neighbours came around after he screamed for help.
A neighbour disclosed to Joy News that the deceased, Baamunu in the past few days was hardly seen around.
According to him, the deceased only returned home during late hours of the night when everyone had gone to sleep as she had a lot of debt to settle with her colleague traders.
