The Development Chief (Nkosuohene) of Nkwatia-Kwahu, Nana Owiredu Wadie I has donated some assorted items to the aged and persons living with disability in Nkwatia-Kwahu.
Through Nana’s foundation, the Kabaka Foundation, a social intervention and charitable organization under the Freedom Group has distributed some assorted items such as drinks, rice, canned foods and live fowls to the aged and persons living with disability.
During the presentation on Wednesday, May 15, at the plush Freedom Hills Hotel, the Chairman for the Kabaka Foundation, Nana Owiredu Wadie assured the gathering that he would continue to go out of his way and put smiles on their faces.
He said, his outfit and his family are ready to assist the aged and persons with disability who cannot go out of their comfort zones to fend for themselves.
One of the Beneficiaries of the donation, Mr. Kingsley Boateng used the opportunity to thank Nana Owiredu Wadie l the Development chief of Nkwatia – Kwahu for his tremendous commitment to the development of Nkwatia – Kwahu.
“We are very grateful to Nana Owiredu Wadie. He’s been supportive of us and we’re extremely proud of his continuous gesture towards us. We can’t say much, all we have to say is that may God continue to bless him. He’s very committed to the development of Nkwatia. They have created jobs, and that’s giving the opportunity to the youth as well”
As part of its social responsibilities to commemorate the 70th birthday of the Chairman of the Freedom Group, Opanyin Owiredu Wadie, the Executive Director of Kabaka Foundation Dr. Henry Larbi while speaking to Republic FM’s Andy Frimpong Manso said, this initiative forms part of the foundation’s and Nana Owiredu Wadie’s willingness to assist and alleviate the burdens the aged and persons with disabilities go through in the area.
“The motive of developing the Kwahu – Nkwatia by Nana Owiredu Wadie l is to ensure that, in development, nobody in the area is left behind and today, he made donations to widows, aged and persons with disability in the community”, he said.
