On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor met with a high-level delegation from Newmont Corporation, led by President and CEO Tom Palmer, at the Ministry.
The meeting focused on Newmont’s operations and ongoing investments in Ghana.
Mr. Palmer expressed appreciation for the government’s steadfast support, particularly regarding the new mine in Ahafo, which has been crucial for the company’s advancement in the region.
In response, Minister Jinapor reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a conducive investment environment to attract and retain major investors like Newmont. He noted that the government’s support has significantly bolstered investments in the country’s natural resources sector.
