The National Identification Authority (NIA) has increased registration fees and other services relating to Ghana cards beginning today Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
The price adjustment according to management is in line with the provisions of the Charges (Miscellaneous Provision Regulations, 2023, (L.I. 2481) passed by parliament.
NIA is therefore advising the individuals who are yet to obtain a Ghana card or update their information to take note of the changes.
Prior to charging the new fees, some individuals who visited some centres to obtain and update their information accused officials of turning them away just to extort money from them.
