One of the three Supreme Court Judge nominees, Justice Henry Anthony Kwofie has said that the majority of Ghanaian judges are not corrupt as some sections of the citizenry claim.
He further said that most allegations levelled against judges are mere perceptions, which usually have no basis or are unfounded, and those that have been caught in corruption activities have also been dealt with according to the laws of Ghana.
Justice Kwofie further added that it is about time the judiciary took a good look at its communication department by restructuring it for the better to explain issues to the public for better appreciation of happenings at the various courts across the country.
Justice Henry Anthony Kwofie made these comments when he appeared before the appointment committee of Parliament on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
The committee is today getting the three Appeals judges, Justice Henry Anthony Kwofie, Justice Yaw Darko Asare, and Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, who were nominated by President Akufo-Addo as Supreme Court judges after receiving parliamentary approval.
