Police says it has arrested six suspected armed Robbers at a separate hideout in the Greater Accra and the Central Region respectively.
The report, according to a statement issued and signed by the Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police Service on Monday, April 18, Supt. Alexander Kwaku Obeng, the police through a target intelligence – led operation between the period of April 15 and 17 respectively, have arrested six armed Robbers in connection with a series of robberies including carjacking in Greater Accra and Central regions.
The six suspects, Jibrilla Musa alias Danturi, Hussain Sampa, Daniel Acquah, Anthony Sackey, Michael Ojo and Ade Banjour, were picked up at various hideouts across the two regions.
Police retrieved one (1) locally manufactured gun, one (1) foreign pistol, a cache of Ammunition, two iPhones and four (4) wristwatches. One of the stolen vehicles has also been impounded by the Police.
The suspects who have admitted to have committed the crimes during interrogations to their involvement in robberies over the years are currently helping the police in investigations.
Police has further made contacts with some of the victims as part of its strategy to give them closure with regards to their unpleasant experiences these robbers.
