President-elect of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has officially announced the members of his 2024 Transition Team, tasked with overseeing the smooth transfer of power to the incoming administration.
The appointments are in line with the provisions of the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
The Transition Team, comprising notable individuals from diverse backgrounds, including finance, governance, and public administration, is set to work in close coordination with the outgoing government to ensure an orderly and effective handover process.
Among those appointed are Hon. Julius Debrah, who will serve as Co-Chairperson, and Dr. Callistus Mahama, who will act as both a member and Secretary to the Transition Team.
Other members include seasoned politicians and professionals such as Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Dr. Valerie Sawyer, and Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi.

The President-elect’s spokesperson, Sammy Gyamfi Esq., who announced the appointments, reaffirmed the team’s commitment to ensuring a seamless transition that upholds Ghana’s democratic values.
