Station Officer II (STNO II) Afedzo Edwin of the GNFS Public Relations Department has made a significant donation of 10 hand-held security metal detectors and 1 under-vehicle inspection mirror to the Ghana National Fire Service.
These tools will greatly enhance the safety and security of GNFS facilities and the public. The Metal detectors will identify hidden metallic objects, while the under-vehicle mirror will inspect vehicle undersides for concealed threats. Together, they will improve the Fire Police Unit’s ability to detect and prevent potential risks.
Chief Fire Officer, (CFO) Julius A. Kuunuor commended STNO II Afedzo for his generous contribution, underscoring his dedication to improving the Service. He urged others to follow suit and support the GNFS in any way they can.
The event was attended by some senior officials, including Director Safety, DCFO Daniella Mawusi Sarpong, Director Rural Fires, DCFO James Owusu-Agyei, Commanding Officer of Headquarters, DCFO James Oheneba Yaw Kwateng, Ag. Director Special Duties and Provost Marshal, ACFO I Harriet Nuuno, Director Public Relations, ACFO I Timothy Osafo-Affum, and Chaplain General, Rev. DO I Erzoah Amihere.
