Member of Parliament and sector Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Bryan Acheampong is expected to meet the Press on Monday, July 3, 2023, on a much-talk-about interview dubbed ‘The Big Interview’.
The ‘Big Interview’, per Republic Press’ findings, will focus on the minister’s vision at the Agriculture and Food Ministry, an agenda for Kwahu development and matters within the Abetifi constituency.
The minister is also expected to be joined by all the Members of Parliament within the five blocks of Kwahu to discuss matters that ought to project the development of Kwahu and Ghana at large.
The Minister will be hosted by Republic Fm, a subsidiary of the Republic Media Group and other selected media firms within the Jurisdiction of Kwahu.
However, the minister is, per Republic FM’s information, to provide updates on the Abetifi Referral Hospital, the Agric ministry’s support for Hweehwee tomato farmers, ongoing projects in the Abetifi constituency and other agricultural issues bothering farmers in Kwahu.
The minister after his assumption in office, has shown a great possibility of ensuring food security and price control mechanism to curb the increasing spate of food prices in the country.
He has recently engaged with Regional Ministers, Regional Agric Directors and MMDCE’s to discuss ways of implementing the second phase of the Planting for Food and Jobs across the country.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong took over the Food and Agriculture Ministry from Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto on February 7, 2023, after resigning to contest the flagbearer position of the New Patriotic Party.
