Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has expressed his condolences to the family of late deputy minister of finance, John Kumah.
John Kumah tragically passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Suhum Government Hospital in the Eastern Region when he was originally being transferring to Accra for treatment.
Dr. Bawumia in his visit to the family on Friday, March 8, also signed the book of condolence.
He was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare, Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ntim, as well as other top party and government officials.
The Vice President in eulogizing the former deputy finance minister said his death is a big loss to the party and country.
“I had the opportunity to work with John on several projects to my greatest admiration. Indeed, Ghana and the NPP have lost a hardworking son.”
He offered his condolences to the late minister’s wife, kids, and entire family.
“My deepest condolences to Lilian and the children, his mother, the entire family, and all loved ones. John, Damirifa Due!”.
This afternoon, I visited the home of Hon. John Ampontuah Kumah to commiserate with the immediate family and sign the book of condolences. I was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Chairman of the @NPP_GH, and government and party officials.
